Mother’s day is right around the corner, and we wanted to share with you some ideas to celebrate Mom! We’ve included some favourites from Montreal, but you’re sure to find similar options no matter where you’re from.
The gift of practice
Perhaps not the most traditional way to celebrate mother’s day, but it might be soon!
For Mother’s day this year, take your mom to a yoga class! There’s a style of yoga to suit just about every need. For example, power flows for those who want to feel the burn, meditations to calm the mind, and yin for a real deep stretch.
If you’re in Montreal, make sure to check out Moksha Yoga West Island. Mom’s get a complementary practice to regularly scheduled classes to celebrate mothers day!

The gift of Creativity
Fresh flowers make any day better. Am I right, or am I right?
You can stick to the classic and offer your mom a bouquet… or you can kick it up a notch. Give your mom the space to express her creativity through a private floral arrangement course! I had the pleasure of doing a floral arrangement workshop at Fig Fleurs in the Pointe-Claire village with a group of incredible women. It was such a great experience. Florists, like Orysia and Marie, make it look easy, but there’s so much to learn about the art of flowers.

The gift of relaxation
Mom’s work hard. Like real hard. A massage is always a great treat. There’s a lot of different styles of massages, it can be overwhelming. A quick call to the wellness center can help you get clarity. Don’t be shy!
If your mom is already in the practice of getting massages on the regular, perhaps offer her something she might not normally gravitate to on her own. I’m willing to bet she hasn’t had a Thai Yoga massage recently. 😉
If you’re in Montreal, give Sami a call! He recently opened up Prana Wellness in the West Island and has a power house team of professionals.
